New Delhi,December 26, 2025: India witnessed an unprecedented surge in citizen-centric governance during Good Governance Week 2025, held from 19 to 25 December, following the inspiring vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister to transform governance into a “Jan Andolan” - a people-powered mission for a Developed India by 2047.

In his message dated 9 December 2025, the Prime Minister called upon administrators and citizens to collectively work towards governance that is seamless, inclusive, transparent, and future-ready. This vision became reality as the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) led a massive nationwide campaign spanning all 36 States and Union Territories.

Governance Reaches the Grassroots


Good Governance Week 2025 penetrated deep into India’s administrative fabric, covering districts, tehsils, and local offices, ensuring that benefits reached citizens at the grassroots level.

Key activities included:

  • Large-scale disposal of pending service delivery applications

  • Swift grievance redressal through CPGRAMS and State portals

  • Special grievance camps and outreach workshops

  • Documentation and sharing of successful grievance resolution stories

  • Identification and submission of best governance practices

This decentralised yet coordinated approach resulted in record-breaking public participation, reinforcing trust between citizens and government institutions.

National Workshop on Good Governance Day


A National Workshop was organised on 25 December 2025 at the Civil Services Officers’ Institute (CSOI), New Delhi, marking Good Governance Day, observed on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Delivering the welcome address, Ms. Rachna Shah, Secretary, DoPT, DARPG & DPPW, paid tribute to Shri Vajpayee’s enduring contribution towards citizen-first governance, institutional integrity, transparency, and accountability, values that continue to inspire India’s administrative reforms.

Major Releases and AI-Driven Governance Launches


The workshop was chaired by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, who underscored the government’s commitment to technology-enabled, responsive governance.

During the event, he released three important publications and launched four advanced e-Governance initiatives, signalling a decisive shift towards AI-assisted public administration.

  • Assessment Report on Special Campaign 5.0, highlighting efficiency gains and systemic improvements

  • CPGRAMS Annual Report, showcasing enhanced grievance disposal quality, inclusivity, outreach, and training of grievance officers

  • Compendium of Guidelines on Reservation for Ex-Servicemen, consolidating all instructions into a single, updated reference to ensure dignity, clarity, and uniform implementation

New-Age Digital & AI Initiatives


  • AI-Powered Recruitment Rules Generator Tool: Enables faster, standardised drafting of Recruitment Rules through guided inputs and automation.

  • e-HRMS 2.0 Mobile Application: A flagship initiative under Mission Karmayogi, bringing HR services directly to employees’ mobile devices, reducing paperwork and improving transparency.

  • AI-Enabled iGOT Karmayogi Platform: Featuring AI Sarthi, AI Tutor, structured specialisation programmes, and capacity-building planning tools.

  • Karmayogi Digital Learning Lab 2.0A next-generation digital content hub supporting AR, VR, simulations, gamification, and rapid dissemination of best practices across civil services.

  • 3,53,607 grievances redressed through CPGRAMS

  • 57,184 district-level workshops and special camps organised

  • 770 best Good Governance Practices identified

  • 596 public grievance success stories documented

  • 254 districts submitted District@100 Vision Documents

These achievements underline the scale, seriousness, and effectiveness of the initiative.

To encourage learning and replication, selected best governance practices submitted by States and Districts will be uploaded on the Abhinav Pahal Portal, ensuring nationwide access to innovative administrative solutions.
