Bilateral relations between India and Central Europe’s economic heavyweight, Poland, reached new heights today as Polish Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Donald Tusk concluded high-level bilateral discussions with Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House.

Prime Minister Tusk’s official visit (October 21–23, 2026)—accompanied by a 100-member high-level delegation of top CEOs and business leaders—serves as a crucial catalyst in translating the India-Poland Action Plan (2024–2028) into concrete, time-bound economic and geopolitical outcomes.

The landmark summit follows PM Modi’s historic visit to Warsaw in August 2024, where ties were elevated to a Strategic Partnership. Following a comprehensive mid-term review conducted in Warsaw in September 2026 by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Polish Foreign Minister RadosÅ‚aw Sikorski, both heads of state reaffirmed their commitment to resilient supply chains, joint defence innovation, and regional stability.

Economic Engine: Target to Double Bilateral Trade by 2030 & EU-India FTA Push

At the forefront of the joint declaration is a pledge to double India-Poland bilateral trade by 2030. Prime Minister Modi congratulated Poland on crossing the $1 trillion GDP milestone, while Prime Minister Tusk praised India’s sustained momentum as the world's fastest-growing major economy on its path to becoming a $10 trillion economy.
