CDS 2 2025 Results Out! Over 9000 Candidates Take a Step Closer to Their Defence Dream


New Delhi, October 10, 2025 – In a major milestone for thousands of defence aspirants across India, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) II 2025 results. A total of 9085 candidates have cleared the written examination held on September 14, 2025, and are now shortlisted for the next critical stage-the SSB Interview conducted by the Service Selection Boards (SSBs) of the Ministry of Defence.

A Dream in Uniform: What This Means for the Aspirants


Each year, lakhs of candidates appear for the prestigious CDS exam with the singular dream of donning the uniform and serving the nation. With the announcement of these results, 9085 aspirants have moved one giant step closer to becoming future officers in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.

They are now eligible for the following prestigious academies:

  • Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun – 161st (DE) Course (July 2026)

  • Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala – Course Commencing in July 2026

  • Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad – 220th F(P) Training Course (July 2026)

  • Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai (Men & Women) – 124th SSC (NT) Course (October 2026)

Document Submission Deadlines

Candidates are required to submit original documents in support of their age, educational qualification, NCC certificates, etc., directly to the respective service HQs (not UPSC) by the following deadlines:
Academy Submission Deadline
IMA & INA 01st July, 2026
AFA 13th May, 2026
OTA 01st October, 2026


Failure to do so will result in cancellation of candidature.

Candidates who chose Army (IMA/OTA) as their first preference must register themselves at:
