The Economic Powerhouse: JPY 10 Trillion Investment & New Initiatives
At the heart of the new partnership is a massive financial commitment. Japan has set a target of JPY 10 trillion (over $68 billion USD) in private investment to India over the next decade. This is a huge vote of confidence in India's growth story and its potential to become a global economic hub.
To make this happen, several new initiatives have been launched:
- Economic Security Initiative: This is a big deal. India and Japan will work together to build resilient supply chains in strategic sectors like semiconductors, clean energy, pharmaceuticals, and critical minerals.
