C-DOT Launches ‘Samarth’ Incubation Program Cohort-II to Boost Telecom Startups in India

C-DOT kickstarts the second round of the ‘Samarth’ startup accelerator, fostering innovation in telecom and tech with strong government support.

The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), under India’s Department of Telecommunications, recently launched the second cohort of its innovative ‘Samarth’ Incubation Program, aimed at nurturing startups in telecom, ICT, cybersecurity, AI, and related fields. Following the successful completion of Cohort-I, where 18 startups showcased promising results, C-DOT has selected another 18 startups for Cohort-II.

The ‘Samarth’ Program, started in March 2025, provides robust support including funding, mentoring, and access to lab facilities across Delhi and Bengaluru. With the help of partners like Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and TiE Delhi-NCR, the program tackles cutting-edge problem statements in AI, Li-Fi, security, and drones.

At the launch event held during IMC 25 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, CEO Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay highlighted the program's vital role in driving India's digital growth and innovation in line with Prime Minister’s vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat.” The selected startups received grants, office space, and comprehensive training in marketing, IPR, finance, and legal matters to accelerate their growth.

This initiative reflects C-DOT’s commitment to building a vibrant ecosystem for indigenous telecom solutions, contributing to India’s position as a global technology leader.
